SillyShotz has been fortunate to work with some terrific people in some amazing venues. AMPA events is a company we have worked with on several occasions and we thought you might like to know a bit more about them. We are excited that they are part of our first blog post!
How did you get your name?
Some businesses just sprout up. This is also true for Ampa, but when it all started to happen in the 90’s, much thought went into What We Will Be? Amphitheater, in classical Greece, is the embodiment of all production services for entertainment, thought, political and philosophical statements, a gathering place for communities. The association fit perfectly.
How did Ampa get started?
Ted Rubis launched Ampa in 1985 as an entertainment-booking agency, building on his experiences with special events and his affinity for bringing people together. Responding to demand, Ampa began expanding its services. More importantly, it built a team of creative professionals who know how to use the resources at their disposal to serve your needs within your budget.
Can you tell us a bit about what you do?
Ampa is a full service event planning, design, and production company. From rentals of games and decor, to execution of full productions, staging, and AV, Ampa can do it all. What makes Ampa stand out is our focus on creativity along with the unification of all major event services under one roof. Ampa is not only creative in an artistic sense, but we are also creative in our approach to serving clients. We listen to our clients needs and wants to go above and beyond their vision.
What are the top three tips for choosing the right design planner for an event?
1) Ensure that your planner is listening to your vision and goals
2) Ensure that your planner understands your budget
3) Ensure that your planner is fully committed to helping you and is readily available
Why should someone choose to work with an event design company instead of DIY?
Ampa can do it all! The clients are working directly with the professional in terms of planning the event and design, as well as with the equipment. Ampa owns it all. If we don’t have what you are looking for, we can get it or our master carpenter can build it.
What is the best way to contact Ampa about an upcoming event?
Give Ampa a call! We are open from 8:30am-5:30pm every week day and our experienced event staff will be more than happy to help. Ampa’s website also has an online shopping cart tool- add what you are interested in and one of our team members will get in touch with you within 24-48 hours of your request. ( ampaevents.com)
