The Ospreys at Belmont Bay

One of the best parts of our photo booth rental business is getting to see some beautiful wedding venues and working with some terrific people. The Ospreys at Belmont Bay is one of those venues and Brooke Stokes is one of those people. We got to talk to her recently and she shared some insights and photos!

Can you tell us a bit about your venue?

Brooke: We offer a unique and charming waterfront venue filled with natural beauty and a laid-back luxury. The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay caters to every wedding to create a fully customized experience for you and your guests. With the picturesque Occoquan River providing a naturally breathtaking backdrop, the clubhouse features a beautifully adorned ballroom and spacious accommodations for 146 guests. Outdoor ceremonies are truly enchanting with a flagstone aisle leading to a pergola framed by a waterfront view. Our indoor reception area has a patio space complete with a fire pit and sweeping views of our beautiful golf course and weeping willow tree.

When a prospective client reaches out, what happens next?

Brooke: We like to send out our welcoming email with our package pricing, photos of the facility and sample menus with caterers we work with the most that have incredible food and decor so our couples can get a general idea of what booking at our venue entails. We want to schedule an appointment for our couples as soon as possible to come and look at the venue because we’re confident that once they see it in person, it will be love at first sight. During our appointment time, we will tour each room, including our expansive bridal and groom suites, our waterfront ceremony area and go into detail of how space is transformed so you know what to expect on your wedding day. We recommend bringing a list of questions/concerns so we can address them in person during our tour! Best of all, our packages include an in-house coordinator that will be with you every step of the way with the planning and execution process, so if you have more questions or want our recommendations on vendors, decor etc, we are easily accessible by phone or email.

Any advice for potential clients?

Brooke: Always make an appointment to see the venue. If one of you can’t make it, taking photos, video or face timing is a great way to be involved. Bring a list of questions or concerns you may have and write down any details you’re given so you can refer back to them later if need be. If you’re on a strict budget, tell your coordinator so they’ll know how to best help you. Communication is key! If you want to drop by to show the venue to others or need help visualizing something, be sure to call your venue first as there may be other events going on.

How many events do you handle each year?

Brooke: 140, we handle baby showers, bridal showers, birthdays, engagements, anything! We can accommodate a guest count of 146

When planning for an event there and trying to work out a budget, is there a per person dollar figure you can give or does it depend entirely on each particular client?

Brooke: It really depends on each event! I am great at getting couples to their budgets!
