Donating a Virtual Photobooth for Best Buddies Virtual Prom

At SillyShotz Photobooth Company, we are excited to do our part to help Best Buddies with their Virtual Prom.  This exciting celebration is all about fun and positivity while also being an important fundraiser with unique and interactive digital experiences. The event kicked off on May 18th and will continue through May 29th, providing entertainment and fundraising opportunities through donations, virtual BINGO, and a silent auction.  SillyShotz is proud to donate a virtual photobooth for a one-of-a-kind way to capture special memories.  Because what’s prom without photos?

We have been in the party business since 2013, providing several different types of entertaining booths to make events memorable and extra special.  Our photo booths offer a wide variety in backgrounds, templates, and props to capture extraordinary moments.  We love to be a part of ALL sorts of events and special occasions; and we frequently look for opportunities to partner with nonprofits for charitable causes.  This year’s Best Buddies Virtual Prom is just such an occasion and we can’t wait to share in the enjoyment with you.

We are so happy to be able to support a wonderful organization like Best Buddies!  In 1989, Best Buddies became America’s first national, unified, social and recreational program for people with intellectual disabilities.  Today, Best Buddies remains dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

This year, with many nonprofit organizations forced to adapt and find new ways to serve the community and meet donation goals, Best Buddies is utilizing creative solutions to promote togetherness and camaraderie.  During this time of physical distancing, the Virtual Prom celebration is honoring participants, buddy pairs, corporate partners, and dedicated volunteers in a brand new and exceptional way.

“As our region struggles with the new reality of quarantining and being online everyday, we realize now more than ever that Best Buddies and the spirit of friendship, meaningful relationships, supported employment and inclusive living ARE essential in our community”
- Molly Whalen, State Director for Best Buddies Capital Region.

The auction closes on Thursday, May 28th and the two-week event wraps up with a virtual dance party with DJ Neekola at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 29th.
